Andy came from a village called Breamore. On leaving school and went to work for British Rail In Salisbury and  found accommodation locally (Digs) so he could get to work. When he and others were made redundant from British Rail he and Duggie Eldridge  both went to the recruiting office and singed up to join the Regiment. 

Andy completed his 9 Years of service and settled in Fordingbridge. He work as a HGV Driver and subsequently purchased his own truck and ran his own business. 

Five or so years ago Andy and Sue decided to move to Spain to be closer to their family who earlier had also moved to Spain. The move was not successful for Andy and his wife and wile in Spain Andy become unwell being diagnosed with Bowel Cancer. 

They returned to the UK and set up home in Kidderminster. Andy underwent surgery and chemotherapy  on numerous occasions over a four year period. He was always cheerful and positive about his condition and was determined to beat it.
