Stockport Reunion 2009

Just to Shoot any Rumours the 2010 reunion will be held at Stockport on the 15th & 16 October 2010, and will be Hosted by June & Ron and NOT Trevor Weston. In Ron's own words:


"It appears there are various Letters, emails and phone calls going around stating that I am resigning as chairman of the Shiners Club. I can state quite categorically that I am not resigning until there is a line of people with their hands up willing to take the job on and are voted for by the members, then I will consider resigning. Until then I still have the reins of the Shiners Club and nothing will change".

Film Instructions : The films are 26 Mb and 10Mb IMPORTANT both film should take a total of about 8 minutes to download, you only need to do this once. The next you access the film it should load in under a minute.  You will see a flashing circle with the message Acquiring Media,  then the message Stopped, then click  the start button and put the mouse pointer anywhere in the black box & double click the left mouse button to get a full screen picture.

Jim Kyle in Australia send me some photographs that I though were amazing so I decided to put together a short film using the photos with some music added to make it appealing. I hope you will if nothing else, at least find it interesting. Pete

Just in: Alan "Cider" Hale died in Sept 2009, 

Cider joined the regiment in about 63/64 served in "B" Sqn. until about 67/68 when the support troop was founded. we don't know if he stayed with the new regiment on amalgamation or went else where. He may have attended the odd Reunion but not in recent years. Cider was from the Dorset area. 

 

If any one has any info please let me have it and I will do a tribute to him in the next News Letter Pete
